I am a Professor of Business Informatics and Program Director (B.Sc. Business Informatics) at the German University of Applied Sciences (DHAW). My work bridges business and technology, with a strong focus on how organizations leverage innovation and digital strategies to remain competitive and sustainable in rapidly changing environments.
I earned my Doctorate in Business Administration with a focus on how open innovation and dynamic capabilities contribute to the resilience of small and medium-sized enterprises. Prior to that, I completed an MBA in Digital Technologies and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, building a multidisciplinary foundation at the intersection of management and information systems.
My academic career has developed in international and interdisciplinary contexts across business, management, and computer science. Alongside my academic work, I gained industry experience in business consulting, IT project management, and executive leadership, which continues to inform my applied research perspective.
My research focuses on open and social innovation, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and digital business models. I am particularly interested in how organizations develop capabilities to adapt to technological, environmental, and societal change, and how these processes contribute to resilience and long-term value creation. Methodologically, I combine quantitative and qualitative approaches to capture both structural patterns and contextual dynamics.
